Coronary Sinus Atrial Septal Defect (Unroofed Coronary Sinus) with Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection—A Case Report
Introduction: To present a rare occurrence of coronary sinus atrial septal defect (ASD) associated with total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC). Case Report: A 16-year-old girl was diagnosed with features of an atrial septal defect (ASD) by transthoracic echocardiography and the absence of PLSVC (persistent left superior vena cava) connection to coronary sinus was confirmed by salin...

A 53-year-old man presented to our hospital with acute coronary syndrome and underwent uncomplicated cardiac catheterization with percutaneous coronary intervention. As part of an institutional research protocol for evaluation of the recently placed left circumflex stent, he underwent coronary CT angiography with ECG-gated, contrast-enhanced, 64-slice multidetector CT (Sensation Cardiac 64, Sie...
متن کاملImaging of persistent left sided superior vena cava with echocardiography and multi-slice computed tomography: implications for daily practice.
Persistent left sided superior vena cava is a congenital abnormality encountered not uncommonly by the echocardiographer or cardiac radiologist. Recognition of its presence is important in the differential diagnosis of dilatation of the coronary sinus. We discuss the echocardiographic and computed tomography findings of this congenital abnormality, and the implications for clincal practice.
متن کاملCoronary sinus aneurysm associated with multiple venous anomalies
BACKGROUND Congenital anomalies of the venous system are rare, involve the inferior vena cava (IVC), a persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC), and the left hepatic vein (LHV), and can make cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic procedures difficult. CASE PRESENTATION We present a 67-year-old woman without heterotaxy syndrome associated with interruption of the left IVC that continued with the...
متن کاملA Case of Complete Unroofed Coronary Sinus Syndrome Combined With Coronary Sinus Stenosis Leading to Asymptomatic Presentation
We describe a patient with an asymptomatic complete unroofed coronary sinus (CS) syndrome associated with the CS stenosis in the absence of a persistent left superior vena cava (SVC) as identified on coronary computed tomography angiography. There was a large defect between the CS and the left atrium (i.e. a large left-to-right shunt), but an unusual combination of the absence of a persistent l...
